Step-by-Step Guide: Travel Using the Character Unstuck Feature
Starting in Teldrassil
Begin in the Night Elf starting zone, Teldrassil, and travel to Darnassus, the capital city of the Night Elves. Once in Darnassus, head to the westernmost part of the city, where you’ll find a pink portal that will teleport you to the Darnassus Docks.
Boat to Auberdine:
From Darnassus, take the boat to Auberdine in Darkshore. This will be your first step on the journey to Stormwind Elwynn Forest. This is the only boat that comes to this pier.
Boat to Menethil Harbor (Wetlands):
Once you arrive in Auberdine, take the next boat to Menethil Harbor in the Wetlands, which is directly opposite where you came.

Swimming to a Specific Safe Location
After arriving at Menethil Harbor of Wetlands, swim south along the coastline toward the mountains. This is where you’ll use the Character Unstuck feature. (recommended to pick up the Flight point here for future use.)

Swim across the water, steering more to the right. Then touch the tree shown in the image above, and start the Character unstuck method below.
Using the Character Unstuck Feature
- Open the ESC menu and select Support.
- Click on Character Stuck Service.
- Navigate the menus, confirm your character, and the game will log you out.
You’ll select a character, which is sorted by ‘Last played’ by default, so it is most likely to be the top option.
Confirm the Character Selection, and it will log you out.
- When you log back in, your character will be teleported to Dun Morogh, a safe location in the Eastern Kingdoms, located outside a major city. Please note that some pages may take a few minutes to load.
Note that the general menus are slow to load, so it may take minutes to load each page.
Ironforge to Stormwind
Ironforge and the Tram:
Once you are in Dun Morogh, follow the path north into Ironforge. From there, you can take the Tram to Stormwind. (recommended to pick up the Flight point here too.)
Reach Elwynn Forest:
After arriving in Stormwind, navigate through the city(recommended to pick up the Flight point here too.) and head south to enter Elwynn Forest, where you can continue your levelling journey.
