How to breed Wumpo in Palworld

136 parent pairs · verified from the 1.0 game files

There are 136 parent pairs that hatch Wumpo in Palworld 1.0, all of them ordinary maths, no special recipe: Wumpo sits at breeding power 830, so any two parents whose powers average out to that number hatch Wumpo. All of them are read straight from the 1.0 game files, not copied from an Early Access spreadsheet, and the table below sorts them by how easy the parents are to get. The most reachable is Bushi Noct + Petallia Ignis; the calculator above already has Wumpo selected if you want to filter by a parent you own.

How the maths gets to Wumpo

Every Pal has a hidden breeding power; Wumpo sits at 830. When two parents breed, the game adds their two numbers, halves the total rounding up, and hatches whichever Pal is nearest that result. So any pair whose numbers average out to 830 (or nearer to 830 than to any other Pal) gives Wumpo: that is why so many different pairs land on the same egg, and why the pairs above cluster around parents whose powers straddle 830.

Worked examples from the table: Bushi Noct (840) + Petallia Ignis (820) → 830; Wumpo (830) + Petallia Ignis (820) → 825. When two Pals sit at exactly the same distance from the average, a fixed priority order decides, which is why a few pairs that look like they should tie do not.

Wumpo + Wumpo always hatches Wumpo: breeding two of the same species is how you farm passives once you have a pair.

What Wumpo breeds into

Wumpo as a parent, with a few common partners. The forward tab of the calculator does this for any pair.
