How to breed Astegon in Palworld

107 parent pairs · verified from the 1.0 game files

There are 107 parent pairs that hatch Astegon in Palworld 1.0, all of them ordinary maths, no special recipe: Astegon sits at breeding power 490, so any two parents whose powers average out to that number hatch Astegon. All of them are read straight from the 1.0 game files, not copied from an Early Access spreadsheet, and the table below sorts them by how easy the parents are to get. The most reachable is Faleris + Astegon; the calculator above already has Astegon selected if you want to filter by a parent you own.

How the maths gets to Astegon

Every Pal has a hidden breeding power; Astegon sits at 490. When two parents breed, the game adds their two numbers, halves the total rounding up, and hatches whichever Pal is nearest that result. So any pair whose numbers average out to 490 (or nearer to 490 than to any other Pal) gives Astegon: that is why so many different pairs land on the same egg, and why the pairs above cluster around parents whose powers straddle 490.

Worked examples from the table: Faleris (500) + Astegon (490) → 495; Anubis (480) + Astegon (490) → 485. When two Pals sit at exactly the same distance from the average, a fixed priority order decides, which is why a few pairs that look like they should tie do not.

Astegon + Astegon always hatches Astegon: breeding two of the same species is how you farm passives once you have a pair.
