Tooth does not come from an animal or a shop. It comes out of a skull, and the skull comes out of a corpse you were going to open anyway, which is why most players never notice the route exists.
The whole thing is two crafts at two benches, both at mastery one, and the research behind it costs seventeen spheres in total.
You will want more than the one the Fairy asks for, because ![]()

Skull and Teeth is the parent of Reanimation, which is the node that gives you the Resurrection Table and the Bronze Zombie Collar. If you intend to make your own zombie workers you have to pass through here.
So the teeth are close to free. The research is a step you were taking anyway and the input is a body part you were otherwise leaving in the corpse.
Take the skull at the Autopsy Table
The craft is called Remove and replace skull, it runs at ![]()

The name is literal. You take the real skull and leave a replacement behind, so the corpse is still fit to bury afterward and the grave it goes into scores the same as it would have.

Skulls are graded the way every organ is, by red and white skulls, and there are six variants of them. Two of the six can be crafted upward with organ improvers at the bench, which matters for zombies and not at all for teeth.

The recipe accepts a group rather than a named item, and all six skull grades belong to it. A tooth made from your best skull is identical to one made from your worst.
Grade the skulls you keep for zombies and feed the rejects to the bench. There is no reason to ever put a good one through it.

Graveyard Keeper 2 Tooth FAQ
Where do you get teeth in Graveyard Keeper 2?
From skulls. Take a skull out of a body at the Autopsy Table, then turn it into a Tooth at the Formulation Bench. Nothing else produces them and no vendor sells them.
What do you need to research for teeth?
Skull and Teeth, which is 5 red and 5 blue. The whole ladder to it is 5 red, 5 green and 7 blue, because the first two nodes on the autopsy line are free.
Do you need materials to take a skull?
No. Remove and replace skull runs in one second at mastery 1 and needs nothing but a body on the table. It leaves a replacement skull, so the corpse is still fine to bury.
Does the skull grade matter for a tooth?
No. The recipe accepts any of the six skull grades and the tooth is the same either way, so use your worst skulls and keep the good ones for resurrection.
How long does a Tooth take to make?
Four seconds at the Formulation Bench, for two energy, and it pays one blue tech point.
What are teeth used for?
Alchemy above all: 349 mixes use them, which is fourteenth most used in the game. Outside the lab the only named use is Summon Fairy.
How many teeth do you need for the Fairy?
One. Summon Fairy is one Tooth, one Dream Dust and one Comet’s Tail at the Kitchen Table, at Anatomy mastery 3.
Is the Autopsy Table available from the start?
The recipe is. Autopsy, Basic is a root node costing nothing, so you can build the table as soon as you have four Board, two Piece of stone and four Bronze Nails.
