How rage works in WoW Forever
The biggest change for every Warrior is rage. In Classic, the rage you got from dealing damage scaled with how hard you hit, so a bad run of low rolls left you starved. In Forever, rage comes in steadily while you deal damage, and the amount is tied to your weapon speed instead of the size of each hit.
Rage from taking damage has changed too. It’s now based on the damage the enemy tried to deal before any damage reduction, not what actually got through. That means wearing better armor no longer lowers the rage you get as a tank, which was one of Classic’s oddest trade-offs. Arms can also take

WoW Forever Warrior FAQ
How does rage work in WoW Forever?
Rage from dealing damage now builds steadily based on your weapon speed instead of how hard each hit lands. Rage from taking damage is based on the damage before armor and other reduction, so better gear no longer lowers your rage.
Can Warriors Charge in Defensive Stance?
Yes, with the Vanguard talent in the Protection tree. Thunder Clap can also be used in Defensive Stance in Forever.
What does Weaponmaster do?
It’s an Arms talent that replaces the old weapon specializations. Axes and polearms get 5% crit, maces and staves ignore 15% armor, and swords get a 5% chance for an extra attack.
What is Spearing Strike?
A new Arms ability that deals 40% weapon damage, plus 80% more against Giants, Dragonkin and mounted targets, and dismounts players.
Do Shield Wall, Retaliation and Recklessness still share a cooldown?
No. In WoW Forever each of them has its own cooldown, so using one doesn’t lock out the others.
