Wan’s Wonder Weapons Mod Guide

Wan's Wonder Weapons is a Hytale mod created by WanMine that adds a collection of one-of-a-kind Relic weapons to the game. These are not ordinary tools, but ancient relics shaped by elemental forces, dark magic, lost civilizations, and the occasional touch of absurdity. All 16 weapons share the same Relic quality tier, which sits above standard item rarities and is displayed in a distinct magenta color. Each weapon has its own visual style, sound set, and a signature ability that charges as you fight.

Wan’s Wonder Weapons is a mod that adds 16 powerful Relic-tier weapons to Hytale, each with its own look, feel, and a unique signature ability. Whether you want to raise the dead, summon lightning, or erase enemies from existence, there is something here for every playstyle.

Every weapon is craftable using in-game materials. With the right preparation, even newer players can work toward these weapons and feel their impact in combat.

How to Craft the Weapons

Every weapon in Wan’s Wonder Weapons is crafted at a Tier 3 Weapon Bench using the same four ingredients. The recipe never changes between weapons; only the bench category (Sword, Mace, Dagger, etc.) needs to match the weapon type.

Gathering Materials

Below is exactly where to find each ingredient and the most efficient way to gather it.

1

Getting Adamantite Bars

Mine Adamantite Ore in the Devastated Lands and smelt it into bars

Adamantite Ore is found exclusively in the Devastated Lands, the volcanic Zone 4 region, identifiable by its dark purple areas on the map. The best sub-biome to search is the Cinder Wastes, located near oceans within the Devastated Lands and containing the highest concentrations of the ore.

Adamantite Ores are identifiable as red ores, typically found in the volcanic regions

You will need at least a Thorium Pickaxe or Cobalt Pickaxe to mine Adamantite Ore. Once you have collected enough ore, smelt it in a Furnace to produce Adamantite Bars. You can also find bars and ore inside chests hidden in structures and camps scattered throughout the Devastated Lands, so explore any ruins you come across.

Come Prepared

The Devastated Lands is one of the most dangerous areas in Hytale. Bring your best current gear, plenty of food, and extra torches before heading in.

2

Getting Heavy Leather

Hunt large animals and process their hides at a Tanning Rack

Heavy Leather is made by processing a Heavy Hide at a Tanning Rack. Heavy Hides drop from large and tough animals, including Bears, Crocodiles, Yetis, and Mosshorns, the bison-like creatures found in Zone 1.

The Boreal Mountains biome is one of the most reliable places to farm Heavy Hides, thanks to the high density of large animals in the area. Once you have collected enough hides, place them in your Tanning Rack, and they will convert into Heavy Leather automatically over time.

3

Getting Void Essence

Kill Void enemies at night to collect their essence drops

Void Essence drops from Void enemies, specifically Void Eyes, Void Spawns, and Void Spectres. These creatures only appear in the dark, so you will need to hunt them at night or in dark underground areas. Every Voidspawn killed is guaranteed to drop at least one Void Essence, making them the most reliable source.

Later in the game, you can access the Void Gateway, an advanced structure unlocked through the Arcanist’s Workbench. Entering the gateway takes you to an area with very high concentrations of Void enemies, making it the fastest way to farm large quantities of Void Essence.

Farm at Night

Void enemies do not appear during the day. Set up a safe base near a Void enemy spawn area so you can farm each night efficiently without traveling far.

4

Getting the Voidheart

The rarest ingredient: a low-chance drop from Void Eye enemies

The Voidheart is the hardest ingredient to obtain and is considered an Epic rarity item. It has a low drop chance from Void Spawn enemies, but the most efficient farming method is to target Void Eye enemies in Zone 3, particularly in the Icy Biome. Expect to defeat somewhere between 20 and 50 enemies before one drops.

The Void Gateway is also a strong option for farming Voidhearts once you have access to it, as the higher density of Void enemies inside makes the grind significantly shorter. Be aware that the enemies inside the gateway are considerably tougher than standard nighttime Void spawns.

Only One Required

Each weapon only needs one Voidheart, so once you secure your first one, the hardest part is done. If you plan to craft multiple weapons, farm several Voidhearts before you start crafting.

5

Crafting at the Blacksmith's Anvil Bench

Combine all four ingredients at a Tier 3 Weapon Bench

Once you have all four ingredients, head to a Tier 3 Weapon Bench and get crafting!

All Weapons Overview

Below is every weapon added by the mod, grouped by type. Each entry includes a short description of the weapon’s theme and its standout gameplay trait.

Daggers

All daggers in Wan’s Wonder Weapons are dual-wielded, meaning your character holds one in each hand. They are the fastest weapon type in the mod and reward aggressive, up-close play. Each dagger also applies a unique on-hit status effect when using its signature ability.

Nightshade Daggers from Wan’s Wonder Weapons Mod

Ashthorn

Forged from smoldering lignite and volcanic resin, the Ashthorn trails living embers with every strike. Attacks with the signature ability apply the Burn status effect to enemies.

Frostburn

Carved from ice that never melts, the Frostburn freezes enemies on contact. Regular attacks apply the Frost status effect, slowing targets with every hit.

Heartroot

A shard of petrified primeval root that still pulses with ancient life. When it pierces an enemy, living vines bind the target in place.

Nightshade

Polished with forbidden herbs, the Nightshade carries a toxin that spreads through the blood. Each attack applies the Poison status effect to the enemy.

Eclipsebound: Daybreak & Nightfall

One weapon with two aspects. Press R to switch between Daybreak, which is stronger in sunlight, and Nightfall, which is deadliest in the dark. Press E to dash. In Daybreak, the dash burns enemies; in Nightfall, it causes you to vanish and hide from foes.

Chromatic Cleaver

A prism blade that bends light into spectral edges. Press R to switch between two combat stances, including the Astral Dominion stance where the blade floats freely without being held , a telekinetic fighting style unique to this weapon.

Swords

Swords can be used with a shield. They’re the default go-to weapons. There are only 3 Swords from the Wan’s Wonder Weapons Mod.

Lethal Leftovers Sword from Wan’s Wonder Weapons

Lethal Leftovers

Once a delicious bass, now a barely acceptable blade. This comedic fish-sword is faster than it looks and delivers a rapid flurry of attacks.

Gaia's Wrath

Ancient steel bound to the spirit of the earth. When swung, it releases a verdant shockwave that hits multiple enemies. A fast sword with excellent crowd-clearing potential.

Quasar Cosmic

Forged from the heart of a dying star, this blade does not just kill enemies , it erases them. Enemies struck by the signature ability are deleted from the world entirely, leaving behind only a plume of pink smoke.

Longsword

The Soulblight is the only longsword in the mod and one of its most unique weapons. Once wielded by a powerful Lich, it feeds on the souls of fallen enemies and uses them to raise Undead allies that fight alongside you.

When the signature ability activates, a soul portal opens and a Soulblight Zombie is summoned to fight on your behalf. The lore warns that the undead are not always obedient, which is reflected in their independent behavior in combat.

Maces

The three maces are the heaviest weapons in the mod. They hit hard on normal swings and even harder on charged swings, and all three share the same signature ability: a powerful Groundslam that launches you into the air before slamming down with an area-of-effect explosion.

Maelstrom

A rusty anchor recovered from a cursed shipwreck. Three weapon trails arc from the anchor head like a spinning chain during attacks.

Helioram

A gilded ceremonial maul shaped like a Sun-Ram. Fire trails burn along the handle with every swing, making it the most visually striking of the three maces.

Mjollnir

Thor’s legendary hammer needs no introduction. Every single hit triggers a Lightning particle effect on your character, giving every swing a satisfying thunderous feel.

Battleaxe

The God Slayer is the only battleaxe in the mod and the heaviest-feeling weapon overall. It deals enormous damage per hit but swings very slowly. Its signature ability is a Whirlwind spin attack that hits everything around you.

The God Slayer is not built for fast combat. It rewards patient, well-timed strikes and is at its best when surrounded by multiple enemies where each slow swing can hit several targets at once.

Scythe

The Void Requiem is a scythe made at the edge of the void itself. Its description says it does not cut so much as conclude, severing enemies from fate with each swing. Press right-click to dash (compatible with the Zephyr mod for further customization).

How the Signature Ability Works

Every weapon in the mod has a Signature Ability bar that fills up as you land hits in combat. Once the bar reaches 100%, press Q to unleash the weapon’s unique ability. The bar resets after the ability is used.

Some weapons also have secondary abilities on separate keybinds. On weapons that support it, pressing E activates a movement ability such as a dash, and pressing R toggles between different stances or aspects. The Eclipsebound daggers and Chromatic Cleaver make the most use of these extra inputs.

Zephyr Mod Compatibility

If you have the Zephyr movement mod installed alongside Wan’s Wonder Weapons, movement abilities like the Eclipsebound dash become fully customizable, letting you adjust speed, distance, and behavior to your preference.
