The mods on this list are very new, and most are compatible with each other. All of these mods work individually and can dramatically improve your Hytale experience, whether you play solo or on multiplayer servers.

Miners Helmet
The Miners Helmet mod adds eight craftable helmets that provide a portable light source around the player. Each helmet emits a different colored glow, eliminating the need to place torches while exploring dark caves and underground areas. The helmets are crafted at the Armorer’s Workbench, making them accessible relatively early in a playthrough.

Seven of the eight helmets require Crystal Shards to craft, with each color corresponding to the various crystals found throughout Orbis. This gives players a reason to collect different crystal types beyond their standard uses. Whether players prefer a subtle white glow or a vibrant colored light to match their aesthetic, the Miners Helmet mod provides a practical and visually appealing solution for hands-free illumination during extended mining sessions.

Vein Mining
Vein Mining allows players to mine an entire ore vein with a single block break, instantly collecting all connected ore blocks at once. By holding the left alt key while mining, every ore attached to that vein drops simultaneously into a neat stack. This mod is perfect for players who want to maximize their mining efficiency without spending excessive time underground.

The mod is fully customizable through slash commands after granting yourself operator permissions. Players can configure whether vein mining works only on ores or on all blocks, adjust the break pattern for different block types, and fine-tune the experience to their preferences. While the all-blocks option might feel too powerful for some, the ore-only setting provides a balanced quality of life improvement.

Mining Hammers
Mining Hammers introduces a new tool type that mines nine blocks at once in a 3×3 pattern. When players strike the center block, all surrounding blocks break simultaneously, making strip mining and tunnel creation significantly faster. The hammers use the same crafting recipe as pickaxes but require 16 of the main material instead of the standard amount.

While more expensive to craft than regular pickaxes, the increased efficiency more than justifies the material cost. Different tier hammers are available matching the standard progression of materials in Hytale. For players who prefer a more immersive approach to bulk mining compared to the Vein Mining mod, Mining Hammers provides a dedicated tool that feels balanced and rewarding to use.

Item Magnet
The Item Magnet mod adds a craftable tool that automatically pulls nearby dropped items toward the player. Crafted using 10 of any stone type and 20 Iron Ingots, the magnet can be equipped in the quick-use bar and activated to collect items without walking around. This is particularly useful when harvesting trees or mining, where items tend to scatter in every direction.

Without the magnet, players inevitably leave items behind, especially in dense forests or complex cave systems. The magnet ensures complete collection of all drops, saving time and preventing resource waste. For players who value efficiency and thoroughness in their resource gathering, this affordable tool quickly becomes indispensable.

Tree Harvester
The Tree Harvester mod completely revolutionizes how players gather wood in Hytale. By holding crouch while chopping a tree, players can cut at any point on the trunk rather than just the base block. When the tree falls, it drops larger chunks of wood that are easier to collect, and the mod automatically digs up the root, replaces the dirt to match surrounding blocks, and plants a sapling in that exact spot.

This quality-of-life improvement makes sustainable forestry effortless while also helping address frame rate issues caused by too many dropped items. The automatic replanting feature ensures players never accidentally deforest an area without leaving new growth behind. For anyone who spends significant time gathering wood, this mod is an absolute must-have that saves countless hours over extended playthroughs.

Mountable Trex and Raptors
This mod lets players ride and control some of the deadliest creatures in Hytale, including the massive Cave T-Rex, the lightning-fast Cave Raptor, and the powerful Triceratops. These prehistoric mounts can be found in Zone 4 underground areas, where players can approach them and press F to mount. Each beast offers distinct advantages for traversal and exploration.

The T-Rex boasts enormous health and tankiness, making it perfect for dangerous areas, though it moves more slowly. The Raptor offers incredible speed and higher jumps, ideal for rapid exploration across the map. While mounted combat is not currently available and the creatures stay parked where players dismount rather than following, these prehistoric beasts provide an exhilarating way to travel through Hytale’s world.

Not Enough Potions (Morph Potions)
Not Enough Potions is an ambitious expansion to Hytale’s alchemy system, adding powerful morph potions that let players transform into various creatures. Available transformations include Dragons, Skeletons, Dogs, Wolves, Goblins, and many more. Each form offers distinct utility, such as flight for Dragons or enhanced speed for canine forms.

All transformations are triggered by craftable potions using lore-friendly ingredients at the Alchemy Bench, though in-game commands are also available. The transformations last approximately one minute before reverting to normal form. This mod adds fantastic RPG flavor to Hytale and opens creative possibilities for exploration, combat, and roleplay scenarios that simply are not possible in the base game.

Wonder Weapons

Wonder Weapons adds legendary-tier weapons that give players something truly powerful to work toward. The collection includes iconic weapons like Mjolnir, God Slayer, Gaia’s Wrath, and the Quisar Cosmic sword. These weapons feature stunning visual designs and devastating combat effectiveness, making them the ultimate endgame goal for dedicated players.
Crafting these legendary weapons requires significant investment: 27 Adamantite Ingots, 10 Heavy Leather, 30 Essence of the Void, and one Void Heart for most recipes. The expensive crafting requirements ensure these weapons feel earned rather than easily obtained. Wielding a massive legendary sword that towers over your character creates an epic visual that makes all the resource gathering worthwhile.

Perfect Parries
Perfect Parries introduces Soulslike precision combat mechanics to Hytale, transforming basic blocking into a reactive skill-based system. When players time their blocks perfectly against enemy attacks, they deflect damage completely, conserve stamina, and apply a brief stun effect to the enemy. The mod includes custom animations, sound effects, and visual feedback for successful parries.
Mastering the timing requires practice, as each enemy type has different attack patterns to learn. This mod significantly deepens melee combat and rewards calculated defensive play. For PvP servers especially, Perfect Parries adds an entirely new skill dimension that separates casual players from dedicated combat enthusiasts. The Soulslike feel makes every encounter more engaging and satisfying.

RPG Leveling
RPG Leveling introduces a powerful, fully configurable stat and skill-based progression system to Hytale. Players earn experience by defeating mobs and allocate stat points to build custom characters, progressing all the way to level 100. The mod includes a GUI stat menu and HUD integration that displays progression information during gameplay.

The system features 12 different stats including Health, Mana, Stamina, Damage, Defense, Oxygen, Ammo capacity, Mining efficiency, and Wood Cutting yield. Players can specialize their characters by focusing points into preferred playstyles, whether that means maximizing combat damage, improving resource gathering yields, or creating balanced builds. This mod adds the RPG progression depth that many players feel the base game needs.

Installing mods in Hytale is straightforward using either the CurseForge app or manual installation. The easiest method is downloading the CurseForge mod manager from their website using the standalone download option. Once installed, click on Hytale to browse available mods and simply click Install on any mod you want.

For manual installation, open the Hytale Launcher, click the settings wheel in the top left, then click Open Directory. Navigate to the User Data folder, then the Mods folder. Drop downloaded mod files directly into this location. Some mods that are entire worlds will need to go in the Saves folder instead.

Before launching a server, right-click it to open the edit window and ensure your desired mods are checked in the center-left panel. The same applies when creating a new world by clicking the wheel next to the Create World button. Since mods are server-side, any friends joining your server automatically have access to the same mods without needing to install them separately.

- Most of these mods are compatible with each other
- Load order may matter for some combinations
