LSPDFR Install Quick Stats

Mod size: ~77MB. Install time: around 10 minutes. Requirements: GTA V (offline / Story Mode only) and RAGEPluginHook. LSPDFR will not run in GTA Online.

How to Install LSPDFR in GTA V (Offline)

The LSPDFR install process has three steps: download the LSPDFR mod from the official LCPDFR site, extract the files into your GTA V directory, and configure RAGEPluginHook to load LSPD First Response on startup. Total setup time is around 10 minutes.

1

Download LSPDFR

Grab the official LSPDFR mod installer from LCPDFR.com

Download LSPDFR from the official LCPDFR website:

Choose lspdfr_049_9299_3586_Manual_Install.zip to start the download. The LSPDFR mod file is approximately 77MB.

2

Extract and Install LSPDFR Files

Drop the LSPDFR mod files into your GTA V root install directory

Right-click the downloaded LSPDFR ZIP and select Extract All. Open the extracted folder, select every file inside, and copy everything into your GTA V root install directory (the folder that contains GTA5.exe).

GTA V Legacy vs Enhanced

LSPDFR currently runs on GTA V Legacy. If you launched GTA V Enhanced by mistake, switch back to Legacy via the Rockstar launcher before copying files in.

3

Configure RAGEPluginHook

Enable LSPD First Response inside RAGEPluginHook and launch GTA V

Run RAGEPluginHook.exe from your GTA V folder (it uses the Rockstar logo). Wait a few seconds for the application to load, then accept the RAGEPluginHook terms and conditions.

Open the Plugins tab, tick Load these plugins on startup, and enable LSPD First Response by G17 Media. Click Save in the bottom right corner, then click Launch and confirm with OK.

Do Not Enable BattlEye

BattlEye Anti-Cheat will block RAGEPluginHook and kick you back to the Rockstar launcher. Leave BattlEye disabled in the launcher settings whenever you play LSPDFR.

Getting Started With LSPDFR After Install

Once LSPDFR is installed, launching through RAGEPluginHook boots GTA V with a new intro sequence and a semi-transparent RAGEPluginHook overlay. The only available option should be Story Mode with Rage Plugin Hook. If you see anything else, the LSPDFR mod has not loaded correctly.

Spawning at a Police Station

Once in single player, press ESC to open the pause menu and open the LSPDFR tab (between Brief and Settings). Under Character, choose Go to Nearest Police Station and your character will spawn directly outside the closest LSPD station.

Going On Duty as an LSPD Officer

Walk up to the main doors of the police station and press E to enter. Select Go on Duty to start LSPDFR character creation, then build your officer in an editor that mirrors GTA Online character creation.

LSPDFR Departments, Uniforms, and Patrol Cars

Choosing a Department

After character creation, head to the locker area to pick a law enforcement agency. Each department in LSPDFR has its own uniform, equipment, and patrol style.

Department Role
LSPD Los Santos Police Department City patrol
Sheriff Blaine County Sheriff County-wide enforcement
FIB Federal Investigation Bureau FBI equivalent, federal cases
DOA Drug Observation Agency DEA equivalent, narcotics
NOOSE National Office of Security Enforcement SWAT and Homeland Security
Park Rangers State Park Rangers Wilderness and park patrol
SAHP San Andreas Highway Patrol State trooper equivalent

Picking a Patrol Vehicle

Head to the garage to choose your LSPDFR patrol car. Vehicle options match the department you joined, from LSPD cruisers to SAHP highway interceptors.

Every patrol car can be fully upgraded, so any vehicle in the garage is viable for high-speed pursuits once you have spent some on-duty time and earned credits.

Starting Your First LSPDFR Patrol

On-Duty Indicators

You are active on duty once the LSPDFR indicator appears above the minimap. From this point, dispatch can push callouts to your screen at any time.

Default LSPDFR Controls

LSPDFR maps most of its actions to single keyboard keys. For a full breakdown of every binding, including pursuit and traffic stop controls, see our dedicated LSPDFR controls guide.

Y
Accept dispatch callout
E
Enter police station / interact
ESC
Open LSPDFR pause menu
N
Toggle police siren
B
Talk to suspect

Responding to LSPDFR Callouts

Drive normally and follow traffic laws while on duty so you do not rack up your own wanted level. Wait for dispatch to push a callout to your screen, press Y to accept the call, then follow the objective marker and resolve the scene.

Start Slow

Stick to traffic stops and minor disturbance callouts for your first hour. Pursuits and gang shootouts ramp up quickly, and dying on a callout still costs you progress.

LSPDFR Troubleshooting

If LSPDFR fails to load, the Plugins tab is empty, or GTA V crashes after installing the mod, work through these checks in order.

LSPDFR Install Troubleshooting

Expanding LSPDFR With Plugins and Mods

Once the base LSPDFR mod is running, most players stack additional GTA V police mods to deepen the experience. Popular LSPDFR plugins add extra callouts, smarter NPC AI, expanded traffic stop interactions, custom liveried patrol cars, and EUP uniform menus.

Treat the base LSPDFR install as the foundation and layer plugins on top one at a time. Adding everything at once makes it nearly impossible to spot which plugin caused a crash when something breaks.

Thomas has been writing game guides for over a year, covering whatever he's currently sunk into. He doesn't write about anything he hasn't actually played, which usually isn't a problem since he plays too much of everything anyway. Rocket League ate enough of his life to get him to Grand Champion, and he's got several max-level, fully geared characters sitting in World of Warcraft from various binges over the years. Recent obsessions include ARC Raiders, Battlefield, For Honor, and Rainbow Six Siege, with plenty of others in rotation. He's also worked behind the scenes for a well-known gaming creator on video production and editorial pieces, so the guides here are shaped as much by that side of the industry as by the hours logged in-game. Every tip, build, and location in his guides comes from his own playthroughs. If he hasn't tested it, it doesn't get published.
