FH6 Barn Find Locations – Where to find Barn Cars

Barn Finds are Forza Horizon 6's exclusive classic car rewards, tucked away in derelict structures across Japan and impossible to buy at the Autoshow. Each one only appears on the world map once you've earned the right Discover Japan stamp, from the introductory Yellow tier all the way up to Gold. Driving into the marked circle triggers a short cutscene with Mei and Yuji, and the car is then added to your garage in a damaged state. Restoration runs on a real-time in-game timer, but paying credits will skip the wait instantly. With 15 to track down, ranging from the D class Toyota 2000GT to the R class Le Mans-winning Mazda 787B, completing the chase is one of the biggest collection grinds in the game.

Forza Horizon 6 hides 15 Barn Finds across Japan, ranging from the ultra-rare Honda NSX-R GT to the Le Mans-winning Mazda 787B. Every car, every region location, and the full stat block are laid out below, with the system explainer further down for anyone new to how Barn Finds work in this entry.

If you just want to grab the cars, jump straight to the walkthrough. The unlock pipeline is tied to the Discover Japan collection journal, so each Barn Find appears on the map after the matching stamp is earned.

Every Barn Car Location Walkthrough

Every Barn Find is grouped under the stamp tier that unlocks its rumor. Each entry below opens with the in-game route to the barn, followed by the car’s full performance stat block. Each Wristband in Discover Japan unlocks ‘rumors’ about a new car, allowing you to find barn finds (purple circles) on the world map.

Yellow Stamp Barn Finds

The Yellow stamp unlocks the moment you finish the prologue. Only one Barn Find is tied to this tier, but it is one of the rarest cars in the entire game.

2005 Honda NSX-R GT Barn Find

Honda NSX-R GT Barn Find Location

The 2005 Honda NSX-R GT sits in the Ohtani region, north of the main Tokyo area.

Follow the main road past Mei’s house, go on dirt roads, and watch for a tight right-hand hairpin. Right before the hairpin, cut 90 degrees off the road into the isolated wooded area on the inside of the turn and go through the trees, or do the first hairpin and find the dirt path marked above.

The barn sits straight ahead and can be driven into directly from the asphalt. Only five Honda NSX-R GTs were ever built, made to meet Super GT class homologation requirements.

Green Stamp Barn Finds

Green is the second stamp tier and pushes two rumors onto the map at once. Both are classics from very different eras: the Toyota 2000GT and the Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500.

Toyota 2000GT Barn Find Location

The 1969 Toyota 2000GT is hidden in the Ito region, on the coast directly below the Iron Beach speed trap.

While looking for this barn find myself, I’d driven past it many times because the side road is unmarked and blends in, so it’s been annotated to ensure readers don’t do the same.

Drive toward the ocean and look for a dirt road marked with a dotted line on the map that runs near the train tracks.

Follow that path, veer left into the trees, then trace it straight to the barn. The cutscene notes that only a small number of these were ever built for road use.

Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 Barn Find Location

The 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 is parked near the borders of the Ito region, south of the map, and East of Tokyo.

Drive until you spot a 90-degree right turn that opens onto a dirt road. Follow the gravel as it twists uphill, and the barn reveals itself at the top.

You can drive straight up the dirt path if you’d like, avoiding its curves and meanders.

The cutscene claims that this RS500 was lost in transit on its way to America during the car’s late-1980s touring-car peak.

Blue Stamp Barn Finds

The third tier unlocks the Nissan PAO and the legendary Hakosuka Skyline. Both are D class, but the Hakosuka becomes a desirable tuning project in the right hands.

Nissan PAO Barn Find Location

The 1989 Nissan PAO sits in the Minamino region. Once on the map marker, look for the gravel road heading south toward the Sae Temple.

Drive through a small offshoot near the speed camera and follow that secondary gravel road until it meets the barn.

The Dirt Path starts near the Minamino Curve Speed Zone Southern point, where the path is a sharp turn into the area with a lack of trees. It’ll curve a bit, but lead you to the barn of the PAO.

The PAO sold out three months after pre-orders went live, according to the cutscene, unsure why that was relevant, to be honest.

Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R Hakosuka Barn Find Location

The 1971 Hakosuka Skyline is buried in the southwest corner of the map, in the Nangan region, well away from everything else.

Very Bottom, towards the left of the world Map in the Nangan Region

Look just below the Coastline Spirit road racing event. To the left of the very twisty road, take the off-road dirt track and follow it all the way down to the barn.

There’ll be a break in the barriers further south of the purple circle; follow that path to wind up at the skyline Barn.

The original Hakosuka body shape is one of the most iconic in racing history.

Pink Stamp Barn Finds

Pink is the biggest single drop in the journal. Four Barn Finds unlock at once, including the first true performance car of the chase, the S2 class Nissan #23 Pennzoil Nismo Skyline GT-R.

Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Barn Find Location

The 1984 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 is in the Shimanoyama region, north of the stadium. Take the road that spawns from the top of the stadium and head north along the very edge of the map.

Near the long Curved Wall north of the stadium, northwest of the whole map in the Shimanoyama region

Watch for a small gap in the fencing that serves as a driveway entrance, turn left, and follow it to the barn.

Peugeot had to build 200 units for Group B homologation, as the cutscene notes.

Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 Barn Find Location

The 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 hides in the Ohtani region, right next to the main Tokyo City zone and just below Mei’s house.

North of the purple circle, below Mei’s House, in the gap near the bamboo – follow the path around.

Look for an opening in the shrubbery off the main road and follow the gravel for a short stretch directly to the barn.

The narration claims this 930 has been engineered with parts from the Porsche 962.

Nissan #23 Pennzoil Nismo Skyline GT-R Barn Find Location

The 1998 Pennzoil Skyline sits in the Takashiro region, almost directly north of the prologue mission area.

The entrance is slightly hidden behind the building, past the car park, and to the left of the brown building.

Follow the distinct hairpin turn until you see a medium brown building with a large gravel car park and a mascot statue out front.

To the left of that building, a gravel driveway leads into the forest and straight to the barn. The real car was a JGTC GT500 championship winner.

Lincoln Continental Barn Find Location

The 1962 Lincoln Continental waits in the Hokubu region. Look for the collection of multicolored flower fields at the center of a crossroad where one path is dirt, and the other is asphalt.

Drive west on the dirt road, hit the intersection, then follow the plantation of trees to the barn. Realistically, this barn find doesn’t require a path, as it is fairly close to the small road and highly visible from it, and it is really flat and not that off-road.

Mei’s cutscene reveals that this is her dad’s old lowrider build.

Orange Stamp Barn Finds

Orange is the late-mid stamp, and the first one that hands over a proper supercar. The Lamborghini Diablo SV is paired with the rally workhorse Mitsubishi Montero Evolution.

Lamborghini Diablo SV Barn Find Location

The 1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV sits west of the Edo region, near a large split-lane highway bridging the coast.

Instead of crossing the bridge, hang a right onto the off-piste track that cuts down between the trees. The barn sits at the end of it. Zoom in on the map, and you can see the off-piste line leading straight to it.

Along the ‘Ropeway’ Trail Run, where there are Stumps – stop halfway, and there’s a side road leading to the Lamborghini Diablo SV

Mitsubishi Montero Evolution Barn Find Location

The 1997 Montero Evolution hides in the Sotoyama region, east of the stadium. Look for the oddly shaped stretch of asphalt with three sharp hairpins followed by a sweeping left-hander.

Right after the last turn, scan the right side for a gap in the fencing onto a gravel driveway.

The Montero racked up 12 Dakar wins across the 2000s.

Purple Stamp Barn Finds

Purple is the second-to-last stamp and unlocks two of the rarest racing cars in the entire game: the R class Sierra Sierra Enterprises Evo and the S1 class Nissan R390 GT1.

Mitsubishi #1 Sierra Sierra Enterprises Barn Find Location

The 2005 Sierra Sierra Enterprises Evo is pretty far West, slightly up, on the map, in the Sotoyama region.

There is a dirt road in the area, and the barn sits just off that gravel path. Fast travel to spawn in, take the quick gravel branch off the main dirt road, and the barn is straight ahead.

Very easy to find the Barn Location, almost immediately spotted from the dirt path

The real car was a Time Attack Evo whose turbo blew during its second event.

Nissan R390 GT1 Barn Find Location

The 1998 Nissan R390 GT1 sits in the Ohtani region. There is a dirt road near the marker, but fast-travel to the regular asphalt path for the cleanest route.

Drive down it until just before the Trailblazer, turn into the piste, and the off-piste track leads down to a T-junction near the barn.

Only one R390 road car was ever built to satisfy GT1 homologation.

Gold Stamp Barn Finds

Gold is the final stamp tier and rewards the two highest-end Barn Finds in the game. Both cars sit in the top performance brackets and are worth the entire journal grind on their own.

Nissan #11 Tomica Skyline Turbo Barn Find Location

The 1983 Tomica Skyline Turbo sits in the Edo region, not far from the Diablo SV barn.

Drive east off the off-road trail labeled Kitayama Big Daishugo and watch the right side for a path leading straight into the barn.

The Tomica Skyline is a Super Silhouette racer with maximum downforce and minimum weight, well off the original road car spec.

Mazda #55 787B Barn Find Location

The 1991 Mazda 787B is in the Takashiro region. Look for the location labeled “Sona Circuit” and fast travel directly to it.

From there, take the very long dirt road, then watch the right side for a smaller gravel turn-off. Follow that branch all the way into the barn. Personally, I’d lost the road and wound up driving straight, which led to the Barn through some trees.

This is the 1991 Le Mans-winning rotary, and easily one of the best cars in the game.

What Are Barn Finds in Forza Horizon 6?

Barn finds are classic cars hidden in derelict structures across Japan. Each one is a unique vehicle that cannot be bought at the Autoshow, making them among the most valuable additions to any player’s garage in Forza Horizon 6.

When the rumor unlocks, a Barn Find icon appears within a circle on the world map. Driving inside that circle triggers a short cutscene where Mei and Yuji discuss the discovery, and the car is added to the Barn Finds menu in a damaged state. From there, restoration is automatic, but it runs on real-time hours unless you pay credits to skip the wait.

Start Hunting Early

Restoration runs on a real-world timer, so the sooner you trigger the cutscene, the sooner the car is drivable. Queue multiple finds at once and they all repair in parallel.

How Discover Japan Stamps Work

Discover Japan is the collection journal driving the Barn Find unlock pipeline. Every time you fill a stamp, a new wave of rumors appears on your map, all the way from Yellow at the start of the game to Gold at the very end.

1

Open the Discover Japan journal

Pause the game, head to the Collection Journal, and select Discover Japan. The current stamp tier and progress bar are at the bottom of the page.

2

Earn XP through Japan activities

Street races, Togei battles, food delivery jobs, finding collectibles, adding cars to your garage, and upgrading cars at the festival all award Discover Japan XP.

3

Cash in each new stamp

Every stamp unlock pushes new Barn Find rumors onto the map. Drive to the circle, trigger the cutscene, and the car enters your restoration queue.

Do Not Skip the Stamp Step

If you approach a Barn Find location before its stamp tier is unlocked, nothing will happen. No icon, no cutscene, no rumor. Always level the relevant stamp first.
