Whether you are working toward Scrappy’s Level 4 upgrade or just need a quick stamina boost during a raid, Olives are one of the more straightforward resources to farm in ARC Raiders. Unlike Mushrooms or other scattered materials, Olives spawn almost exclusively in one location on one map. The good news is that heading to the right spot can yield 6 or more Olives in a single run if you get there first.
Where Are Olives Found
Olives spawn around Olive Trees, which are trees found primarily on the Blue Gate map. These trees are easy to find once you know what to look for. They have a larger size compared to other surrounding vegetation, with thick dark green crowns and ancient-looking gnarled trunks that resemble real-world olive trees. There are two ways to collect Olives from these trees:

Some Olives spawn directly on the ground beneath the trees, visible as small items with a white interaction circle when you approach. They are easy to miss as they appear almost the same color as the surrounding vegetation.
Other Olives remain attached to the tree until you interact with it. Walking up to an Olive Tree and pressing the interact button will kick the tree, causing additional Olives to fall to the ground for pickup. Every interaction should result at least 1 Olive to fall.

Each tree typically yields 1 to 2 Olives, though some can drop more during certain events. You can expect to easily get 6+ in a single run in Olive Grove.
Olive Locations on Maps
Olives are concentrated almost entirely on one map. While other maps might have random spawns during events, dedicated Olive farming means heading to Blue Gate.
Blue Gate – Olive Grove (Primary Location)

The Olive Grove is located in the southern portion of the Blue Gate map. This is the only reliable location for farming Olives in ARC Raiders. The grove contains multiple Olive Trees spread across a wide radius, making it possible to collect everything you need in one focused run.

Olive Trees are not confined to just the marked Olive Grove POI itself. They spawn in a large circular area around the landmark, extending to nearby buildings, grassy ledges, cliffs at the area’s edge, and along roadsides. A complete farming loop should cover the entire southern zone rather than just the immediate grove area.
Specific spawn points include trees across from a fertilizer-filled greenhouse, on grassy ledges near buildings with brick walls, south of the old shed, and near basement ladder locations. The trees are spread out enough that a methodical sweep of the entire area is necessary to maximize your haul.
This location comes with significant risks. The Olive Grove is a hotspot for both ARC enemies and other players. Wasp, Hornet, and Rocketeer drones patrol the area heavily. Leaper enemies occasionally roam through as well. Perhaps more dangerous are the player campers who use the many hideouts and elevated positions around the grove to ambush farmers. The Ancient Fort rooftops nearby are a known sniper spot.
Alternative: Lush Blooms Event
The Lush Blooms event offers a safer alternative to the contested Olive Grove. When this map modifier is active, Wicker Baskets spawn throughout camps and nature areas across the entire map. These baskets can contain any nature item, including Olives, Apricots, Lemons, and Mushrooms.
During Lush Blooms, the Dam Battlegrounds map becomes particularly valuable. Head to the Hydroponic area and loot the domes. Baskets inside these structures often contain large quantities of assorted fruits and vegetables. This method spreads the farming across more of the map, reducing the risk of running into other players all converging on one spot.
Lush Blooms lasts 45 minutes and can appear on any map. Always check the World Modifiers before loading into a raid. If Lush Blooms is active, consider prioritizing basket hunting over the traditional Olive Grove route.
Other Maps
Other maps in ARC Raiders do not have reliable Olive spawns. Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, and Buried City lack dedicated Olive Trees. You might find Olives in Wicker Baskets during Lush Blooms events on these maps, but making a dedicated Olive farming run to anywhere other than Blue Gate will leave you disappointed.
Why You Need Olives
Olives serve three main purposes in ARC Raiders. Understanding what you need them for helps you plan how many to collect and whether to save them or use them immediately.
Upgrading Scrappy
The primary reason Raiders farm Olives is to upgrade Scrappy, your companion rooster. Scrappy’s Level 4 upgrade requires 6 Olives, 6 Prickly Pears, and 1 Cat Bed. This upgrade improves the materials Scrappy brings back between raids, making it a worthwhile investment for long-term resource generation.

Since both Olives and Prickly Pears are needed for the same upgrade tier, many Raiders plan farming runs that target both resources. Olives come from Blue Gate while Prickly Pears are found at the southern edge of Buried City near the cactus plants.
Stamina Recovery
Olives are a consumable item that restores 20 Stamina when eaten.

The use time is only 1 second, making them a quick option for topping off your stamina during extended sprints or escapes. However, most Raiders save their Olives for upgrades rather than consuming them as stamina items.
Recycling
Olives can be recycled at your workshop to produce 2 Assorted Seeds per Olive. Salvaging produces only 1 Assorted Seed. If you have excess Olives after completing your upgrades, recycling them provides a steady supply of seeds for other crafting needs. It is not recommended to do this, but rather stockpile them for upgrades, then selling any extras as you get more value out when they’re sold.
Events That Increase Olive Spawns
Events are timed modifiers that change how maps play. Two events are particularly relevant for Olive farming.
Cold Snap
Cold Snap is a winter-themed event that runs frequently in the winter, alternating between maps.

Players have reported increased yields from nature spawns during this modifier. While the effect on Olives specifically is less documented than for Mushrooms, it is worth taking advantage of Cold Snap when it aligns with Blue Gate.
Lush Blooms
Lush Blooms is the most important event for nature resource farming. When active, this modifier dramatically increases the spawn rate of all nature items across the map. Olive Trees may drop more fruit, and Wicker Baskets appear throughout camps and structures containing random nature loot. This event is extremely rare at the moment as it is winter and so cold snap dominates the events of each map.
The event lasts 45 minutes and can appear on any map. Always check the World Modifiers screen before queuing. If Lush Blooms is active on Blue Gate, prioritize your Olive farming immediately. If it appears on Dam Battlegrounds, consider hunting baskets there instead for a less contested experience.
Tips for Farming Olives
Use a Safe Pocket
The moment you pick up an Olive, put it in your Safe Pocket. Free loadouts do not include a Safe Pocket, which makes them risky for farming runs. Instead, use a custom loadout with nothing equipped.

You will have no weapons to defend yourself, but you keep the Safe Pocket. Even if you die, your Olives are protected and will extract with you.
Go Fast and Light
The Olive Grove is dangerous. ARC enemies and player campers make extended stays risky. The recommended strategy is to sprint directly to the grove, collect as many Olives as possible, and extract immediately. Do not linger. Do not engage in fights unless absolutely necessary. Get in, grab the Olives, and get out.
Check Both Trees and Ground
Not all Olives are visible at first glance. Some sit on the ground beneath trees waiting to be picked up.

Others require you to interact with the tree to kick them loose. A complete farming run checks the base of every Olive Tree and attempts to interact with each one before moving on. Olives can easily get lost into the ground at times as they’re relatively camouflaged.
Run Multiple Quick Raids
Spawns refresh each round. If another player beat you to the grove and picked everything clean, do not waste time searching empty trees. Extract with whatever you found and queue again. Consistent short runs are more effective than hoping for one perfect raid where every tree is untouched.
Combine With Other Objectives
The Olive Grove area overlaps with several quest objectives. Quests like With a Trace, A First Foothold, and Reduced to Rubble have objectives in or near this zone. Planning your farming runs to coincide with quest completion makes each raid more efficient.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best map for farming Olives?
Blue Gate is the only map with reliable Olive spawns. Head to the Olive Grove in the southern portion of the map. Other maps do not have dedicated Olive Trees, though you might find Olives in Wicker Baskets during Lush Blooms events.
How many Olives do I need for Scrappy Level 4?
Scrappy’s Level 4 upgrade requires 6 Olives, 6 Prickly Pears, and 1 Cat Bed. This is the upgrade tier that requires both Olives and Prickly Pears together. Prickly Pears are found on Buried City near cactus plants.
How do I harvest Olives from trees?
Walk up to an Olive Tree and press the interact button to kick it. This causes Olives to fall to the ground where you can pick them up. Some Olives also spawn directly on the ground beneath trees without needing to kick. Check both the tree interaction and the ground around each tree.
Why is the Olive Grove so dangerous?
The Olive Grove attracts both ARC enemies and players. Wasp, Hornet, and Rocketeer drones patrol the area. Leaper enemies occasionally appear. Other Raiders frequently camp the area in hideouts and on rooftops, waiting to ambush farmers. Use a Safe Pocket and extract quickly.
Should I use a free loadout or custom loadout for Olive farming?
Use a custom loadout with nothing equipped rather than a free loadout. Free loadouts do not include a Safe Pocket. A custom loadout with no gear still gives you the Safe Pocket, which protects your Olives if you die. The tradeoff is having no weapons, but the protection is worth it.
Can I find Olives during the Lush Blooms event?
Yes. Lush Blooms spawns Wicker Baskets across the map that can contain Olives and other nature items. This offers a safer alternative to the contested Olive Grove. Dam Battlegrounds is particularly good during Lush Blooms because of the baskets in the Hydroponic dome area.
What do Olives look like in the game?
Olive Trees resemble real-world olive trees with thick dark green crowns and gnarled ancient-looking trunks. They are larger than other vegetation in the area. Olives on the ground appear as small items with a white interaction circle when you get close.
Can I sell Olives for coins?
Yes. Olives sell for 64 coins each. However, given their importance for Scrappy upgrades and the effort required to farm them, selling is not recommended unless you have completed all upgrades and have a surplus.
