Where to Find Mushrooms Arc Raiders – Mushroom Locations

Mushrooms are one of the rarest resources in ARC Raiders, and tracking them down can feel impossible when every swamp has been picked clean or you keep coming home empty-handed. This guide covers every reliable Mushroom spawn location across all maps, from the guaranteed clusters on Spaceport to the sprawling hunting grounds of Dam Battlegrounds.

The best places to find Mushrooms in Arc Raiders are the Hydroponic Dome Complex on Dam Battlegrounds and the small forest near Little Hanger on Spaceport. Both yield 3 to 4 Mushrooms per raid, with totals climbing to 10+ when the Lush Blooms or Cold Snap events are active. You need Mushrooms to max out Scrappy, finish the Flickering Flames seasonal event, and clear harvest Trials.

Quick Answer:

  • Best map overall: Dam Battlegrounds (around 30 spawn points)
  • Best single spawn: Spaceport forest between Little Hanger and East Container Yard
  • Avoid: Buried City (no reliable spawns)
  • Boost events: Lush Blooms and Cold Snap
  • You need: 12 Mushrooms for Scrappy Level 5, 7 for Flickering Flames Phase 5

Tldr: Generally, mushrooms can be found in nature-y areas, along plant-ridden corridors, inside the Hydrophonic Domes of Dam Battlegrounds, and near Lakes in the areas highlighted above.

Where to Find Mushrooms in Arc Raiders

Mushrooms spawn in a variety of nature-adjacent spots. Here are the general spawn types to recognize before we break them down by map. (We show full map locations below.)

Mushrooms are commonly found along corridors connected to nature, such as the corridors below the Water Treatment Control area of the Dam Battlegrounds. This has been my most common spot for them, as they are easy to find and you can grab up to 3 per corridor.

Mushrooms can also be found in the interiors of the Domes in Dam Battlegrounds or other nature structures. They appear on the outside of the Domes too, though more commonly inside, behind containers and soil pots.

Occasionally, Mushrooms can be found on rocky terrain or the undersides of jagged terrain. On the runs for this article, I wasn’t able to find any here, but I have in the past. It’s a good general area to keep an eye out for when moving between Domes or other map zones.

Mushrooms also spawn on fallen trees, tree trunks, the edges of water pools, and occasionally on pipes in industrial areas. To harvest them, walk up and interact with the Mushroom.

Below is a breakdown of every map, starting with the most productive and ending with those you should avoid. We recommend Dam Battlegrounds because its difficulty is low and Mushrooms spawn consistently in the spots shown.

Riven Tides

Riven Tides has the most reported Mushroom finds of any map. There are 97 reported plant patches with Mushroom on Riven Tides, and the Dried Riverbed area is the main spot. This area is on the quieter side, which makes for a calmer run. Worth the trip if you’re after Mushroom.

Pendola Pass

Pendola Pass only arrived with the latest update, so reports are still thin. The game’s loot data fills the gap. There are 6 reported plant patches with Mushroom on Pendola Pass, and the Frozen River area is the main spot. This area is on the quieter side, which makes for a calmer run.

Hydroponic Dome Complex (Best Location)

The Hydroponic Dome Complex is the single best location for Mushroom farming in Arc Raiders. You can find this landmark just north of the Water Treatment Control area. The Dome has multiple spawn points, both inside and outside the facility.

This location has a quirk worth understanding. Mushrooms tend to alternate between spawning inside or outside the Dome. If you check the interior and find nothing, do not leave. Head outside and check the fallen trees instead.

Inside the Dome, look for rectangular pools of murky water. Mushrooms grow right on the water’s edge, often in small clusters. These spawns are sometimes shared with Great Mullein, so you may find one or the other. There is also a spawn near where the weapon crate appears, which alternates with the crate itself.

Outside the Dome, head south toward the water line and look for a large fallen tree. Mushrooms love to spawn on tree trunks and exposed roots. A second fallen tree on the western side of the Dome often holds another cluster. Checking both indoor pools and outdoor trees gives you an extremely high chance of leaving with multiple Mushrooms in just a few minutes.

Wreckage Area

The Wreckage Area sits southwest of the Testing Annex, marked by a giant destroyed Baron surrounded by twisted metal. This zone sees far less player traffic than the Hydroponic Dome, making it a solid backup when the Dome has already been looted.

Mushrooms here spawn on fallen logs and dead trees scattered around the wreckage. Check behind the larger pieces of debris and scan the surfaces of any downed trees you find.

Western Swamp Region

The western side of Dam Battlegrounds features a large swampy area that includes the South Swamp Outpost and the Old Battlegrounds POIs. This region is less about a specific spawn and more of a general hunting ground.

Mushrooms spawn on tree trunks and logs throughout the swamp. The main challenge is visibility. Rain and nighttime make spotting them difficult. Move slowly, use your flashlight, and constantly scan the base of trees. A methodical sweep through this area can pay off when other spots are dry.

Water Treatment Control

Water Treatment Control is not a primary farming location, but it is worth a quick check if you are passing through. Mushrooms can spawn on the pipes along the top floor corridors leading to the main tower building. The spawns are inconsistent, and there are only about three possible points, but it takes only a moment to look.

Forest Near Little Hanger (Most Consistent Spawn in the Game)

Spaceport is mostly industrial concrete, but there is one forested area that has become famous among Raiders for its reliable Mushroom spawns. This cluster of trees sits between Little Hanger and the East Container Yard, just south of Little Hanger and above the Rocket Assembly POI.

This spot isn’t even marked as a nature location on the map, which is partly why it stays quiet. Most players swear by it. On a normal raid, expect 2 to 3 Mushrooms from a single tree here. During a Lush Blooms event, that jumps to 5 or 6. During Cold Snap, players have reported harvesting up to 11 Mushrooms from this location alone.

The area is out of the way with minimal foot traffic. A Raider Hatch sits nearby, making extraction easy. As a bonus, Apricot trees are also found in this zone, letting you farm two Scrappy upgrade materials in one run (see the combo route below).

Mushrooms and Apricots Combo Farming Route

If you’re maxing Scrappy to Master Hoarder, you need 12 Mushrooms and 12 Apricots. Both spawn in the same Spaceport forest pocket between Little Hanger and East Container Yard.

Run this loop: drop near Little Hanger, sweep the forest cluster for Mushrooms on the tree trunks, then check the Apricot trees in the same patch. Push toward Rocket Assembly for a second pass, then extract via the nearby Raider Hatch. With a Lush Blooms or Cold Snap modifier active, a single trip can knock out most of a Scrappy Level 5 upgrade.

Where to Find Mushrooms on Blue Gate

Mushrooms can technically spawn on Blue Gate, but there are no reliable or well-documented hotspots scattered across the map. The one exception is the area around the Raider’s Refuge, where Mushrooms occasionally appear alongside Apricots and Lemons.

Only farm Mushrooms on the Blue Gate if you’re already there for a mission or another objective. A dedicated farming run to this map will likely leave you disappointed.

Where to Find Mushrooms in the Buried City

Buried City is a dead zone for Mushroom farming. There are no known reliable spawn points. You might stumble across one randomly or find a few in a Wicker Basket, but this map should be avoided entirely if Mushrooms are your goal. Stick to Dam Battlegrounds or Spaceport.

Also Found Here

You won’t find Mushroom growing alone. These usually share the same patch.

The same patches as Mushroom, mostly on Dam Battlegrounds and Riven Tides, often have:

Why You Need Mushrooms in Arc Raiders

Mushrooms serve four purposes in Arc Raiders. First, they are a consumable healing item that restores 15 HP over 1 second. This makes them a decent emergency heal when you have nothing else, though most Raiders save them for their other uses.

Mushroom consumed as a healing item for 15 HP in Arc Raiders

Second, Mushrooms are required for upgrading Scrappy to Level 5, the Master Hoarder tier. This final upgrade costs 12 Mushrooms, 12 Apricots, and 3 Very Comfortable Pillows. Maxing Scrappy lets your companion bring back significantly more materials between raids, making the grind worthwhile.

Third, Mushrooms are needed for the Flickering Flames project. Phase 5 of this seasonal event, called Meals, requires 7 Mushrooms along with other cooking-themed resources. Completing all five phases unlocks exclusive rewards.

Lastly, Mushrooms are useful for harvest Trials. Every harvest of any fruit or mushroom counts toward the Trial, and this is usually an easy 3-star Trial if you target Mushrooms and Fruits together.

⚔️

Events That Increase Mushroom Spawns

Events are timed modifiers on maps. Players can opt into the modified versions where an increased amount of something spawns, whether harvestable resources, enemy ARCs, or Husk containers to loot. The two relevant to Mushrooms are Lush Blooms and Cold Snap.

Lush Blooms

Lush Blooms is a map modifier that dramatically increases nature loot across the map. When active, Mushroom spawns become more frequent, Mushroom Clusters can drop 2 to 3 items instead of 1, and Wicker Baskets appear throughout camps and nature areas.

Wicker Baskets are particularly valuable during Lush Blooms. They can contain any nature item, including Mushrooms. Check residential zones, camps, and any area where you see the baskets scattered.

Lush Blooms lasts 45 minutes and can appear on any map. Always check the World Modifiers before loading into a raid. If Lush Blooms is active on Dam Battlegrounds or Spaceport, prioritize your Mushroom farming immediately.

Cold Snap

Cold Snap winter event description boosting Mushroom spawns in Arc Raiders

Cold Snap is another event worth watching for. Players have reported significantly higher Mushroom yields during this modifier, with the Spaceport forest location producing up to 11 Mushrooms in a single raid. Keep an eye on active modifiers and take advantage of favorable conditions.

Cold Snap is a winter-exclusive event that runs pretty much 24/7, alternating between maps.

Tips for Farming Mushrooms

Use Your Safe Pocket

Mushroom stored in Safe Pocket to protect it from death loss in Arc Raiders

The moment you pick up a Mushroom, put it in your Safe Pocket. Free loadouts do not include a Safe Pocket, so consider running a custom loadout with one equipped. Even if you die, your Safe Pocket contents are protected. This is essential for risky runs into contested areas.

Bring Adrenaline Shots

Adrenaline Shots are cheap to craft and massively speed up farming runs. They boost your stamina to maximum and grant a burst of sprinting speed. Use them to cut travel time between spawn points and extractions.

Avoid High Traffic Areas

If you spawn on the opposite side of the map from your target location, do not run straight through the middle. Circle around the edges of the map to avoid high-loot POIs where players congregate. The map is bigger than it looks on the outskirts, and a longer but safer route is worth the extra time.

Check Both Inside and Outside the Dome

At the Hydroponic Dome, Mushrooms alternate between interior and exterior spawns. Never leave after checking only one area. A quick sweep of both indoor pools and outdoor trees takes under a minute and dramatically increases your odds.

Run Multiple Quick Raids

Mushroom spawns have some randomness built in. Sometimes your favorite spot will be empty while another location is loaded. Don’t get frustrated by bad luck. Extract with whatever you find, bank it, and queue again. Consistent short runs are more effective than hoping for one perfect raid.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best map for farming Mushrooms in Arc Raiders?

Dam Battlegrounds is the best overall map with roughly 30 spawn points, centered around the Hydroponic Dome Complex. The single most consistent spawn, however, is on Spaceport in the forest between Little Hanger and East Container Yard, which yields 3 to 4 Mushrooms per raid.

How many Mushrooms do I need for Scrappy Level 5?

The Master Hoarder upgrade (Level 5) requires 12 Mushrooms, 12 Apricots, and 3 Very Comfortable Pillows. This is the final tier that maximizes the materials Scrappy brings back between raids.

How many Mushrooms are needed for Flickering Flames?

Phase 5 of the Flickering Flames project, called Meals, requires 7 Mushrooms. This is the final phase of the seasonal event.

Where can I find Mushrooms on Blue Gate?

The only semi-reliable Mushroom spawns on Blue Gate are around the Raider’s Refuge, where they appear alongside Apricots and Lemons. Outside of that, spawns are scattered and unpredictable. Avoid dedicated farming runs to Blue Gate.

Can I find Mushrooms on Buried City?

Buried City has no reliable Mushroom spawns and is considered a dead zone for farming. You might find one randomly or in a Wicker Basket, but dedicated farming runs here are not recommended.

Where do I find Mushrooms and Apricots together in Arc Raiders?

Both spawn in the small forest on Spaceport between Little Hanger and East Container Yard. A single loop through this pocket can cover most of a Scrappy Master Hoarder upgrade in one raid, especially with Lush Blooms or Cold Snap active.

What does the Lush Blooms event do for Mushrooms?

Lush Blooms increases nature loot spawns across the map. Mushrooms appear more frequently, trees can drop 2 to 3 items instead of 1, and Wicker Baskets spawn throughout the map containing random nature items including Mushrooms.

Can Mushrooms be used for healing?

Yes. Mushrooms restore 15 HP over 1 second when consumed. However, most Raiders save them for Scrappy upgrades or the Flickering Flames project rather than using them as healing items.

Do Mushrooms spawn inside the Hydroponic Dome or outside?

Both. Mushrooms alternate between spawning inside the Dome near the water pools and outside on fallen trees. Always check both areas before leaving to maximize your chances.

Can I sell Mushrooms?

Yes. Mushrooms sell for 1,000 coins each. Given how difficult they are to farm and their importance for upgrades, selling them is not recommended unless you have a surplus.
