Storm Hut (approx., opens in a Flash Freeze)However, percentages do not tell the whole story. While Stella Montis has more Exodus zones overall, The Spaceport’s Rocket Assembly building offers concentrated, reliable spawns that many players prefer for targeted farming.
Stella Montis
Stella Montis accounts for 50% of all Magnetic Accelerator finds according to community data. The Business Center serves as the primary farming location on this map. Look for rolling carts and searchable containers throughout this POI, as they have notably higher spawn rates for Epic materials.

Extraction pointThe Assembly and Assembly Workshops areas also contain Magnetic Accelerator spawns, though they appear less frequently than at the Business Center. Search all Containers, Bags, and Breachable Containers in these zones. Stella Montis has the most Exodus zones of any map, which explains its high overall percentage despite individual spawn rates being similar to other maps.
Many players avoid Stella Montis due to its size and difficulty, but the concentrated Exodus zones make it worthwhile for Magnetic Accelerator farming. Consider running Night Raids or Electromagnetic Storm Raids on this map, as these weather conditions double loot quality and significantly improve your chances of finding Epic materials.
The Spaceport
The Spaceport contributes only 8% of total Magnetic Accelerator finds, but the Rocket Assembly building offers the most concentrated and reliable spawns in the game. This large hangar is located in the center of the map, just below the East Container Yard. Multiple YouTube guides recommend this as the go-to farming spot despite the lower overall map percentage.

Extraction pointInside Rocket Assembly, look for the red lockers on the northwestern side of the hangar. This first floor location has an extremely high chance of spawning Magnetic Accelerators and Exodus Modules. During early access, these lockers provided nearly guaranteed spawns, though rates have since been adjusted.
The second floor of Rocket Assembly contains additional locker spawns accessible via stairs. A third spot exists on the back corner ledge with more lockers. Breachable crates throughout the building can also drop Magnetic Accelerators, though lockers remain the most reliable containers. Running free loadouts and extracting quickly after hitting Rocket Assembly is the most efficient farming strategy for this location.
Use free loadouts when farming Rocket Assembly. If you get a bad spawn far from the building, you can quickly restart without losing gear. If you go with a custom loadout, put any Magnetic Accelerators in your Safe Pocket immediately to protect them if you die.
Riven Tides
Riven Tides has plenty of reported Magnetic Accelerator finds. The Exodus loot on Riven Tides sits in Port Authority Building and Stacking Yard. Port Authority Building is a high-threat area, so expect ARC and other players. Worth the trip if you’re after Magnetic Accelerator.

Extraction pointPendola Pass
Pendola Pass is the newest map, so there aren’t many reports yet and this leans on the game’s own loot data. The Exodus loot on Pendola Pass sits in Loading Platforms, Cielo Sereno Observatory and Deep-Space Telescope. Cielo Sereno Observatory is a medium-threat area, so it’s busy but manageable.

Dam Battlegrounds accounts for 25% of Magnetic Accelerator finds, making it the second-best map overall. The Exodus zones on this map are spread across industrial areas. Search for Containers and Bags in the dam infrastructure and surrounding buildings.
Blue Gate contributes 8% of Magnetic Accelerator finds but offers unique acquisition methods. Completing puzzles on this map can reward Magnetic Accelerators. Security lockers and locked rooms also have a chance to contain Epic materials, including Magnetic Accelerators.L
Container Types
According to community loot data, Containers account for 45% of all Magnetic Accelerator spawns. Bags follow at 27%, with Breachable Containers also at 27%. Focus on searching all three container types when farming Exodus zones, but prioritize standard Containers first as they have the highest drop rate.
Multiple short raids are more efficient than one long expedition. Hit Rocket Assembly on The Spaceport, grab your loot, and extract quickly. The spawns refresh each raid, making quick runs more profitable than full map exploration.

Where Are Magnetic Accelerators Found
Magnetic Accelerators spawn exclusively in Exodus zones, which are high-tier loot areas marked with special indicators on your map. These zones contain technological and industrial equipment where Epic refined materials naturally appear. Unlike common materials that spawn across multiple area types, Magnetic Accelerators only appear in these specific Exodus locations.

The primary containers for Magnetic Accelerators include standard Containers, Bags, and Breachable Containers. Standard Containers account for the highest spawn rate, so prioritize searching these when farming Exodus zones. Players say there are Red Lockers in Space Port that have a really high spawn rate for them.
What Is A Magnetic Accelerator
Magnetic Accelerators are classified as Epic rarity Refined Materials in Arc Raiders. Each Magnetic Accelerator weighs 1.0 kg, stacks up to 3, and sells for 5,500 Raider Coins at vendors. The in-game description states they are “used to craft advanced weapons.”

When recycled at the Raider Den, a Magnetic Accelerator yields 1 Advanced Mechanical Component and 1 ARC Motion Core. Salvaging topside only produces 1 Advanced Mechanical Component, making recycling the better option when possible. Given their Epic rarity and limited spawn locations, Magnetic Accelerators are among the more valuable materials in the game.
You cannot purchase Magnetic Accelerators from traders. This makes looting or crafting your only options for acquiring them. The Marketplace allows player-to-player trading with an average price around 350 Seeds per unit, though prices fluctuate based on supply and demand.
Why You Need Magnetic Accelerators
Magnetic Accelerators serve multiple critical purposes in Arc Raiders progression, making them worth farming rather than selling immediately.

Gunsmith Level 4
Gunsmith Level 4 takes 3 Magnetic Accelerators, along with 3 Radial Presses and 1 Emperor Modulator, and your Outpost has to reach level 4 before the upgrade unlocks. It’s the top Gunsmith level and one of the requirements for Weapon Amplification, so it’s the use most raiders are farming them for right now.
The other two items both come from Pendola Pass, so Magnetic Accelerators are the part you can farm on the older maps while you wait for a good Pendola run. Once the Gunsmith is done, see our Amplification Module guide for the last step toward Amplified weapons.
Expedition Projects
Magnetic Accelerators were part of the Outfitting project, Phase 4 of 6 in Expedition 1, which took 3 alongside Humidifiers, Electrical Components, and Leaper Pulse Units. Expedition 5 asked for another 3 in its Framework phase. Expeditions are on hold right now, though: the 5th Expedition departed on 29 September 2026, and Embark says they return in early 2027 with major changes.
Given their Epic status and specific spawn locations, Magnetic Accelerators should be prioritized for project completion. Only sell or recycle extras once you have gathered the 3 required for the Outfitting project.
Crafting Advanced Weapons
Magnetic Accelerators are required to craft seven advanced weapons at Gunsmith Level 3. These weapons include the Aphelion, Bobcat, Equalizer, Hullcracker, Jupiter, Tempest, and Vulcano. Each weapon requires between 1-3 Magnetic Accelerators depending on the recipe.
The Hullcracker is particularly popular among players for its unique gameplay. Plan to stockpile additional Magnetic Accelerators beyond your Expedition requirements if you want to craft these high-tier weapons.
Crafting Alternative
If farming proves difficult, you can craft Magnetic Accelerators at Refiner Level 3 using 2 Advanced Mechanical Components and 2 ARC Motion Cores.

This provides a reliable alternative to looting, especially if you have excess crafting materials. The Refiner costs 60 Metal Parts and 5 ARC Powercells to install if you have not built one yet.
Recycle vs Sell
Magnetic Accelerators sell for 5,500 Raider Coins each. Recycling yields 1 Advanced Mechanical Component plus 1 ARC Motion Core. The combined value of recycled materials is typically less than the direct sell price, making selling the better option for pure profit.
Keep at least 13 Magnetic Accelerators: 3 for Gunsmith Level 4 and 10 for the Trophy Display. Hold more if you want to craft any of the weapons above. Only sell excess units after meeting your crafting and project needs. Avoid salvaging Magnetic Accelerators in the field unless your inventory is completely full, as salvaging yields only half the materials compared to proper recycling.
Tips For Farming Magnetic Accelerators
Magnetic Accelerators stack to 3, and each weighs 1.0 kg. Plan your inventory space accordingly. A dedicated farming run can net 1 to 3 Magnetic Accelerators if you hit the right Exodus zones and get favorable spawns, though finding even one per raid is a good result given their Epic rarity.
Use free loadouts when farming to minimize risk. If you die, you can immediately restart without losing gear. This approach is especially useful for the Spaceport runs where you may spawn far from Rocket Assembly and need to cross contested areas.
Run Night Raids or Electromagnetic Storm Raids whenever possible. These weather conditions double the quality of loot spawns, significantly improving your chances of finding Epic materials like Magnetic Accelerators. Check the raid conditions before queuing and wait for favorable weather if you are specifically farming.

Events like Launch Tower, Harvester, and Hidden Bunker can also drop Magnetic Accelerators. Participating in these events provides additional chances at Epic loot while offering variety from standard container runs. The Harvester event spawns Matriarch and Queen enemies whose reactors can be recycled into Magnetic Accelerators.
- Launch Tower LootSomeone has locked off the Launch Tower, hiding all their hard-earned loot at the top. ARC seems to have ramped up their defenses in response to the heightened activity.
- HarvesterA mysterious harvesting machine has appeared, heavily guarded by the feared Queen. What kind of riches are to be found within?
- Hidden BunkerSomeone has hacked the Outskirts Bunker's security system. Find the 4 buttons to unlock the doors, and be the first to plunder the treasure within.
- MatriarchA Matriarch has been sighted nearby. Her children seem hell-bent on keeping her from harm.
Expect 3-5 runs to gather the 3 Magnetic Accelerators for Gunsmith Level 4, assuming average luck. With consistent farming at the recommended locations, you should complete the project requirement within a few gaming sessions. Alternatively, craft them at the Refiner if you have accumulated Advanced Mechanical Components and ARC Motion Cores from other activities.
