Industrial Batteries are Rare items in Arc Raiders that spawn exclusively in Industrial areas. You need three of them to upgrade your Gear Bench to Level 3, making them essential for unlocking advanced weapon crafting. This guide covers the best Industrial Battery farming locations, how to identify Industrial POIs on any map, and tips for maximizing your haul each run.
Where are Industrial Batteries Found
Industrial Batteries spawn mainly in Industrial areas across all maps. These locations are marked on the map with a Factory icon, making them easy to identify before you deploy. Once inside an Industrial building, check cars, breachable containers, and metal shelving units for Industrial Battery spawns.

Cars are by far the best place to look when searching for Industrial Batteries, accounting for the vast majority of finds. Breachable containers can also contain them, though less frequently. Since Industrial Batteries are Rare items, expect to run several raids before collecting all three you need for Gear Bench III.

Extraction pointHead to the Hydroponic Dome Complex and search the dome-like structures. Inside each dome, look for metal shelves lining the walls where Industrial Batteries spawn as loose loot. The white cube-shaped batteries sit directly on the shelving and are easy to spot once you know what to look for.
Do not skip the smaller dome nearby. Players report finding Industrial Batteries in this secondary dome frequently. Check every container and red locker inside the domes as well, since batteries can spawn in these containers too.

The Power Generation Complex offers a secondary farming spot on Dam Battlegrounds. If the Hydroponic Domes have been looted or feel too contested, head to the power plant area for additional Industrial spawn points. The Scrapyard is another backup option on this map.
For quick extracts after farming, use the swamp elevator located near the Hydroponic Dome Complex. This allows you to secure your Industrial Batteries quickly without traversing dangerous territory.
The Spaceport
The Spaceport contributes 15% of Industrial Battery finds, making it a viable alternative to Dam Battlegrounds. Industrial areas on this map contain the same loot tables, so you can find batteries in cars and breachable containers throughout Industrial POIs.

Stella Montis accounts for 8% of Industrial Battery finds, offering a distant third option for farming. Blue Gate and Buried City report no Industrial Battery drops in community data, so avoid these maps entirely if this item is your primary goal.
Any map with Industrial markers can technically spawn Industrial Batteries. Before deploying, check the map for the gear icon indicating Industrial areas. However, Dam Battlegrounds is so dominant at 77% of finds that other maps rarely justify the time investment.
Night raids, Cold Snap events, and Electromagnetic Storms increase drop chances for Industrial Batteries. If you do not mind the added risk, running these special conditions in Dam Battlegrounds can yield extremely productive farming sessions.
What Do the Stats Tell Us
Dam Battlegrounds accounts for 77% of all Industrial Battery finds, making it the dominant farming map. The Spaceport follows at 15%, offering an alternative with different Industrial layouts. Stella Montis contributes 8%, while Blue Gate and Buried City report no Industrial Battery drops (it’s unlikely it’s actually 0, but alas, the data leans towards Dam Battlegrounds anyway).
According to loot data, 81% of all Industrial Batteries are found in cars, while 19% come from breachable containers. Prioritize searching every car you find in Industrial areas for the best results.
Unlike Residential items that spawn in living spaces, Industrial Batteries appear near machinery, power equipment, and factory settings. Look for warehouses, power plants, and dome complexes when searching for spawns.
Scroll down for the locations to search in Dam Battlegrounds.
How To Identify Industrial Areas
Industrial areas are marked on the map with a gear or cog icon, so you can plan routes before you deploy with an idea of where to go for Industrial Batteries. This icon indicates that the POI contains factories, warehouses, power plants, or similar mechanical structures.

Not all Industrial areas are created equal. The Hydroponic Dome Complex on Dam Battlegrounds has proven significantly more productive than other Industrial POIs. Prioritize dome structures and power generation facilities when time is limited.
When you arrive at an Industrial area, look for metal shelving units, machinery, and parked vehicles. Industrial Batteries spawn on shelves as loose loot and inside cars and breachable containers. Open everything you see to maximize your chances of finding them.
Unlike some items that spawn outdoors, Industrial Batteries primarily appear inside buildings and structures. Focus your search on interior spaces, particularly dome interiors and warehouse floors.
Also Found Here
The same loot pool drops a handful of other useful items, so it pays to know what to look for.
The Breachable Containers and shipping container drawers that hold Industrial Battery, most often on Dam Battlegrounds and the Spaceport, also roll:
- Rusted Gear (3 needed for Gunsmith Level 3)
- Rusted Tools (3 needed for Gunsmith Level 2)
- Rusted Bolts (3 needed for Trophy Display phase 1)
- Steel Spring (sells for 300 Raider Coins)
Industrial Battery also turns up in Breachable Containers and bags on Dam Battlegrounds and the Spaceport, alongside:
- Motor (3 needed for Refiner Level 3)
- Advanced Mechanical Components (5 needed for Expedition 5 phase 4, 5 for Gunsmith Level 3)
- Mechanical Components (20 needed for Expedition 5 phase 2, 10 for Ascending The Mountain phase 1, and more)
- Chemicals (50 needed for Explosives Station Level 1)
What is an Industrial Battery
Industrial Batteries are classified as Rare Recyclable items in Arc Raiders. Each Industrial Battery weighs 2 KG and stacks up to 3 in a single inventory slot. If you need quick cash, Industrial Batteries sell for 1,000 Raider Coins each at vendors.

The item description states it “can be recycled into crafting materials.” Processing an Industrial Battery at your Workshop yields 7 Chemicals and 2 Batteries. Salvaging in the field only produces 2 Batteries, so always bring Industrial Batteries back to base when possible for maximum value.
Why You Need Industrial Batteries
Industrial Batteries serve two main purposes in Arc Raiders: upgrading your Gear Bench and completing the Flickering Flames expedition. We recommend saving all Industrial Batteries until you complete both requirements before selling or recycling any extras.
Gear Bench Level 3
The primary use for Industrial Batteries is upgrading your Gear Bench from Level 2 to Level 3. This upgrade requires exactly 3 Industrial Batteries along with other materials. The upgraded Gear Bench unlocks advanced weapon crafting and modifications.
Save at least 3 Industrial Batteries before recycling any extras. Once you complete the Gear Bench III upgrade, you can freely recycle or sell additional Industrial Batteries for resources.
Flickering Flames Expedition
The Flickering Flames expedition requires 1 Industrial Battery for Phase 2/5 under the Decorations category. If you are working on this expedition, factor this additional battery into your farming goals. This is the second Expedition; those on the first expedition do not need it for phase 2/5.
Recycle vs Sell
Industrial Batteries sell for 1,000 Raider Coins each. Recycling yields 850 coins worth of materials (Battery x 2 = 500 + Chemicals x 7 = 350). Selling gives you 150 more coins directly, making it the better option for pure profit.
We recommend selling Industrial Batteries if you have completed all upgrades requiring them. However, if you need Batteries or Chemicals for other Workshop projects, recycling provides those materials directly rather than requiring you to farm them separately.
Avoid salvaging Industrial Batteries in the field unless your inventory is completely full. Salvaging yields only 2 Batteries, which is significantly less value than both selling and recycling at your Workshop.
Tips for Farming Industrial Batteries
Industrial Batteries stack to 3, and each weighs 2 KG. Plan your inventory space accordingly. A dedicated farming run to the Hydroponic Dome Complex can net 1-3 Industrial Batteries if you search thoroughly, though the Rare drop rate means some runs may yield none.
To ensure you have a Safe Pocket, equip any Augment in a custom Build. Do not run free loadouts without this protection if you want to guarantee your Industrial Batteries survive the extraction.

Use your Safe Pocket for Industrial Batteries whenever possible. If you die during extraction, items in your Safe Pocket are preserved. This protects your Rare finds from being lost to other players or ARC enemies.
Run multiple short raids rather than one long expedition. The Hydroponic Dome Complex refreshes its loot each raid, so quick in-and-out runs to Dam Battlegrounds can be more efficient than exploring the entire map. Use the swamp elevator for fast extracts.
Check every car in Industrial areas. With 86% of Industrial Batteries found in cars, thorough vehicle searching ensures you do not miss any spawns. Also search metal shelves for loose loot and breachable containers for additional chances.

If done during Night Raids, Cold Snap events, or Electromagnetic Storms, drop chances of Industrial Batteries substantially increase. If you do not mind the added risk and definitely have Safe Pockets to spare, doing special condition raids in Dam Battlegrounds could yield extremely successful runs.
