Humidifiers are Rare items in Arc Raiders that spawn exclusively in Residential areas. Five of them were needed for the Expedition 1 Outfitting phase. No Expedition since has asked for them, and Expeditions are on hold until early 2027. This guide covers all the best Humidifier farming locations, how to identify Residential POIs on any map, and tips for maximizing your haul each run.

Where are Humidifiers Found

Humidifiers spawn exclusively in Residential areas across all maps. These locations are marked on the map with a person icon, making them easy to identify before you deploy. Once inside a Residential building, check standard containers, breachable containers, and lockers for Humidifier spawns.

Standard containers are the best place to look when searching for Humidifiers, as they account for the vast majority of finds. Breachable containers and lockers can also contain them, though less frequently. Since Humidifiers are Rare items, expect to run several raids before collecting all five you need.

Buried City

Buried City is the top map for Humidifier farming, accounting for half of all community finds. The standout location is the Red Tower in the Old Town area, south of the map. Multiple players report finding a guaranteed Humidifier here on nearly every run.

Head to the Red Tower and make your way to the second floor. The red lockers here have an extremely high spawn rate for Humidifiers. Enter near the metro entrance, go up the stairs, and check both red lockers. Players report finding at least one Humidifier here 100% of the time.

Search the surrounding area as well since this is a Residential zone. Humidifiers can spawn on tables and in other containers throughout the Red Tower. Night raids increase the loot quality here, so consider queuing for night if you want better odds.

Dam Battlegrounds

Dam Battlegrounds offers the second-best Humidifier farming at 40% of total finds. Focus on Pale Apartments and Ruby Residences for the best results. These areas are not in dangerous red or yellow zones, meaning you can loot more peacefully while other players chase high-tier gear elsewhere.

When searching Residential buildings on this map, prioritize kitchen areas. Players report finding Humidifiers frequently in kitchen drawers and cabinets. If you are short on time, skip other rooms and head straight to the kitchens in each building.

If Buried City feels too contested or you want a change of scenery, Dam Battlegrounds provides nearly equal Humidifier yields. The relaxed looting environment in Pale Apartments and Ruby Residences makes it a solid alternative for dedicated farming runs.

Riven Tides

Riven Tides has very few reported Humidifier finds. The Residential loot on Riven Tides sits in Hotel Panorama Azzurro and Azzurro Beach. Hotel Panorama Azzurro is a high-threat area, so expect ARC and other players. Not worth a dedicated run; pick them up if you’re there for something else.

Pendola Pass

Pendola Pass is the newest map, so there aren’t many reports yet and this leans on the game’s own loot data. The Residential loot on Pendola Pass sits in Old Town and Researcher Lodgings. Old Town is a medium-threat area, so it’s busy but manageable.

Note

Blue Gate and The Spaceport each contribute 5% of Humidifier finds. On Blue Gate, check the Village area residences for potential spawns. On The Spaceport, players have reported finding Humidifiers in breachable containers throughout the map. Stella Montis reports no Humidifier drops in community data, so avoid it entirely for this item.

Any map with Residential markers can technically spawn Humidifiers. Before deploying, check the map for the person icon indicating Residential areas. These POIs share the same loot tables regardless of which map they appear on, but Buried City and Dam Battlegrounds simply have more of them.

Night raids work just as well as day raids for Humidifier hunting. The spawns do change based on time of day, so queue for whichever raid fits your playstyle and willingness to take risks.

What Do the Stats Tell Us

Buried City accounts for 50% of all Humidifier finds, making it the dominant farming map. Dam Battlegrounds follows closely at 40%, offering a strong alternative with different Residential layouts. Blue Gate and The Spaceport each contribute just 5%, while Stella Montis reports no Humidifier drops.

According to community loot data, 75% of all Humidifiers are found in standard containers, 17% in breachable containers, and 8% in lockers. Prioritize opening every container you find in Residential buildings, especially the ones that require no breaching.

Unlike mechanical items that spawn near machinery, Humidifiers appear in living spaces where people once resided. Look for apartments, houses, and domestic areas when searching for spawns.

Scroll down for the locations to search in Buried City and Dam Battlegrounds. We highlight the best Residential areas on each map.

How To Identify Residential Areas

Residential areas are marked on the map with a person icon, so you can plan routes before you deploy with an idea of where to go for Humidifiers. This icon resembles a simple human silhouette and indicates that the POI contains houses, apartments, or other domestic buildings.

Red Tower Is A Residental Area

Not all Residential areas are created equal. Larger apartment complexes with multiple units offer more containers to search than small single houses. Prioritize bigger buildings when time is limited.

When you arrive at a Residential area, look for domestic interiors with living spaces. Humidifiers spawn inside these buildings in containers, breachable containers, and lockers. Open everything you see to maximize your chances of finding them.

Unlike some items that spawn on the ground outdoors, Humidifiers only appear inside buildings. Focus your search on interior spaces and ignore outdoor areas around Residential POIs.

What is a Humidifier

Humidifiers are classified as Rare Recyclable items in Arc Raiders. Each Humidifier weighs 2 KG and stacks up to 3 in a single inventory slot. If you need quick cash, Humidifiers sell for 1,000 Raider Coins each at vendors.

Humidifier Description

The item description states it “can be recycled into crafting materials.” Processing a Humidifier at your Workshop yields 2 Canisters and 2 Wires. Salvaging in the field only produces 2 Canisters, so always bring Humidifiers back to base when possible for maximum value.

Why You Need Humidifiers

Humidifiers had one main purpose in Arc Raiders: the Expedition 1 project, which needed exactly five of them for the Outfitting phase. No later Expedition has used them, and Expeditions are on hold until early 2027 (the 5th departed on 29 September 2026), so there’s no reason to hoard them.

What needs Humidifier in Arc Raiders: 5 for Expedition 1 Phase 4
What needed Humidifier – 5 for Expedition 1 only

Expedition 1 Outfitting Phase

Humidifiers were used in the Expedition 1 Phase 4 Outfitting upgrade, which took 5 of them alongside other materials. Expedition 2 swapped them for Frequency Modulation Boxes, and none of the Expeditions since have asked for them.

Save at least 5 Humidifiers before recycling any extras. Once you complete the Outfitting phase, you can freely recycle or sell additional Humidifiers for resources.

Recycle vs Sell

Info

Humidifiers sell for 1,000 Raider Coins each. Recycling yields exactly 1,000 coins worth of materials (Canister × 2 = 600 + Wires × 2 = 400). The values are identical, making either option financially equivalent.

We recommend recycling Humidifiers if you need Canisters or Wires for other Workshop upgrades. If your crafting needs are met and you just want coins, selling works equally well. Choose based on your current material requirements rather than pure profit.

Avoid salvaging Humidifiers in the field unless your inventory is completely full. Salvaging yields only 2 Canisters, which is significantly less value than both selling and recycling at your Workshop.

Tips for Farming Humidifiers

Humidifiers stack to 3, and each weighs 2 KG. Plan your inventory space accordingly. A dedicated farming run can net 2-4 Humidifiers if you hit multiple Residential buildings, though the Rare drop rate means some runs may yield none.

To ensure you have a Safe Pocket, equip any Augment in a custom Build. Do not run free loadouts if you want to protect your valuable finds.

Safe Pocketed Humidifier

Use your Safe Pocket for Humidifiers whenever possible. If you die during extraction, items in your Safe Pocket are preserved. This protects your Rare finds from being lost to other players or ARC enemies.

Run multiple short raids rather than one long expedition. Residential areas refresh their loot each raid, so quick in-and-out runs to Buried City can be more efficient than exploring the entire map.

Check every container in Residential buildings. Humidifiers spawn most often in standard containers (75%), but breachable containers (17%) and lockers (8%) can also contain them. Thorough looting ensures you do not miss any spawns.

Night Raid On Buried City 1

If done during Night Raids, drop chances of Humidifiers substantially increase. If you do not mind the added risk and definitely have Safe Pockets to spare, doing Night Raids in Buried City or Dam Battlegrounds could yield extremely successful runs.

Difficulty No Free Loadout
Night RaidRaiders have been finding especially good loot behind locked doors, and keys have been more plentiful. The heightened Raider activity has attracted more ARC than usual.

  • No active Raider Hatches
  • Increased loot value

Frequently Asked Questions

Buried City is the best map, accounting for 50% of all community finds. The Red Tower in Old Town is the guaranteed spawn location. Head to the second floor and check the red lockers for a near-100% Humidifier spawn. Dam Battlegrounds is a close second at 40%, with Pale Apartments and Ruby Residences being the best spots.

Expedition 1 needed 5 Humidifiers for its Phase 4 Outfitting upgrade. No current project or upgrade uses them, so there’s nothing to save them for until Expeditions return.

Humidifiers spawn in standard containers (75%), breachable containers (17%), and lockers (8%) within Residential buildings. Red lockers have an extremely high spawn rate. They can also appear on tables and in kitchen drawers. Check every searchable container in domestic interiors to maximize your finds.

Always recycle Humidifiers at your Workshop when possible. Recycling yields 2 Canisters and 2 Wires worth 1,000 coins total. Salvaging only produces 2 Canisters, losing half the value. Only salvage in the field if your inventory is completely full.

Humidifiers sell for 1,000 Raider Coins each. Recycling also yields exactly 1,000 coins worth of materials, making both options financially equivalent. Choose based on whether you need Canisters and Wires for crafting.

Yes, Humidifiers spawn during both day and night raids. Night raids offer increased drop chances but come with greater risk. If you have Safe Pockets available, night farming in Buried City can be very productive.

Look for the person icon on the map, which indicates Residential areas. These POIs contain houses, apartments, and domestic buildings where Humidifiers spawn. The icon looks like a simple human silhouette and appears on most maps.

Humidifiers spawn exclusively in Residential areas. Other POI types like Industrial, Mechanical, or Technological do not contain Humidifier spawns. Always head to buildings marked with the person icon if you need Humidifiers.
